OTTAWA — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department received theft reports, especially at an Ottawa storage facility, over the weekend. Deputies were called for a burglary report at the I-35 Mini-Storage in the 2200 block of East 15th Street Sunday night. They found several storage units were damaged and some had been burglarized. The preliminary estimate of damage is estimated total damage is a little more than $7,300. The sheriff’s office also heard Sunday afternoon from a 67-year-old Ottawa man who reported burglars stole items from a house he was working on in the 1200 block of Utah Road northwest of Lane. A deputy found that someone damaged two separate gates of Cowdin Salvage in the 800 block of West Wilson Street in Ottawa. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
