WICHITA — A Kansas native and internationally-known photographer will speak next Thursday night at 6, October 10, at the School of Art and Design at Wichita State University. The talk “Accidentally Kansas “ by Lori Nix is free and open to the public, and is in conjunction with the Ulrich Museum exhibit “Nature’s Toolbox: Biodiversity, Art and Invention.” Nix is known for her landscapes, which bend reality and illusion by combining photos and elaborate dioramas. Her off-beat ‘Accidentally Kansas’ series depicts the state’s dangers and disasters in an off-kilter manner. Two of her works are in the Ulrich’s exhibit, which goes through December 15.
