MIAMI COUNTY — The former operator of the Flood Zone Bar and Grill has won most of a lawsuit in Miami County District Court. The Osawatomie Graphic reports Tony Savage would receive $37,000 from Linda Crouch of Plum Creek Properties over the closing of his bar, but that $7,025 in cleanup and repair costs would be assessed against Savage and given to Crouch. The Graphic says that court documents indicate that Crouch tried to evict the bar from the building after Savage sold the bar to Fowler Enterprises in August 2011. During Savage’s dispute with Crouch, Fowler Enterprises acted on the company attorney’s advice and closed the bar and surrendered the liquor license on it in September 2011. The bar never reopened. Savage and Fowler are involved in a separate lawsuit in Johnson County.
