OTTAWA — If it appears there are more police officers with dogs in and around Ottawa this week, it’s because there are. A group of about 15 to 20 K-9 officers and their dogs will be in Ottawa through Thursday the end of the week for training and meetings, said Franklin County Undersheriff Rick Geist said. The group tries to meet and train together at least once a year, he said.
