OSAWATOMIE — At their meeting tonight at 6:30 at Memorial Hall, the Osawatomie City Council will consider new zoning, subdivision and floodplain regulations which were recommended by the planning commission. If approved, the new regulations will go into effect when they’re published in the Osawatomie Graphic Oct. 16. Last year, the Osawatomie Planning Commission started a project to rewrite the rules to create more user-friendly zoning regulations. After reviewing public comments earlier this year, the planning commission made changes in the proposed rules and forwarded their recommendations to the city council for final approval.
