OTTAWA — Ottawa police are asking for help to find a flasher who exposed himself to a 16-year-old Ottawa girl approximately 6:25 p.m. Sunday. The girl told police that the man exposed himself to her while she was walking in the 900 block of South Willow Street, Capt. Adam Weingartner said. The suspect left the area running west on West 9th Street, Weingartner said. Police officers checked the area but didn’t locate the suspect, he said. The suspect is described as a white man, between 40 and 50 years old, approximately 5-8 to six-feet tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored ball cap, faded blue T-shirt with faded letters on the front, gray shorts slightly below the knee and white tennis shoes. Anyone who was in the area or may have seen someone matching the description is asked to call the Ottawa police at 242-1700 or Franklin County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-311-TIPS. The incident is also the Franklin County Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week this week.
