LYNDON – Osage County corn and soybean growers are reporting generally good fall harvests. That’s according to Frontier Extension District Agriculture and Natural Resources agent Rod Schaub. Schaub says some soybean growers are having difficulty with dry beans, but there have been reports of 30 and 40 bushel yields, and some growers have seen 50 or 60 bushel yields. Schaub says some corn growers are reporting 100 to 150 bushel yields from the lower creek areas. Late in the season, heat and pollination, as well as hail, were cause for concern, but now, the corn harvest is generally complete.
