QUENEMO — A U.S. Grains Council tour by a group of Latin American grain buyers took a recent tour into the Quenemo area. The group visited the Quenemo farm of Kansas Grain Sorghum commissioner Jeff Casten. Casten gave the buyers a look at the use of sorghum for beef, pork and poultry feeds. The group represents buyers who often buy large shipments of 85 million bushels at a time from American grain companies, Casten said. Kansas farmers grow more grain sorghum than any state in the country.
