SPRING HILL — A former work crew leader for a framing company in Spring Hill will be deported. Edino Pacheco, also known as Dennis Erickson Portillo, was sentenced to time served after pleading guilty to harboring undocumented workers who were employees of advantage framing systems, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said. Advantage officials devised a method to pay undocumented workers under the table by making crew leaders responsible for paying undocumented workers in their crews, Grissom said. Pacheco confessed to cashing checks issued to him from Advantage Framing and paying crew members. Advantage Framing issued checks of approximately $4.6 million to more than 32 crews, Grissom said. Advantage co-owners James Humbert, Kimberly Humbert, and Charles Stevens II; and another crew leader, Angel Arguello-Plata have pleaded guilty and will be sentenced later. Two other crew leaders are awaiting trial.
