OTTAWA — A seminar on preparing for future droughts will be 1-3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the Franklin County Annex, 15th and Main, on how to prepare for droughts.
National drought experts from the University of Nebraska will conduct the seminar, which is being hosted by Lake Region RC&D. The seminar is free and open to the public. About 40 people have signed up for for the seminar, but Lake Region chair Don Stottlemire said no RSVPs are necessary to attend. A report on the seminar will be presented to state water officials, he said.
