GARNETT — Anderson County Hospital has launched a 24-hour, on-call chaplains program. The program will provide patients and families with additional, in-person support from a member of the clergy during hospitalization or emergency. Chaplain coordinator Ron Jones said the hospital recognizes the importance of meeting the spiritual needs of patients as part of the healing process. The new program, developed in partnership with the Garnett Area Ministerial Alliance, includes all faiths and patients will be offered the service upon admission and asked if they have a religious preference.
