TOPEKA — Shawnee County District Attorney Chad Taylor has announced a state listening tour to see if he will challenge long-time U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts. A Topeka Democrat, Taylor has proved popular with voters and was re-elected district attorney in 2012 without opposition. He’s critical of recent congressional antics and he calls Roberts a long-time Washington insider who puts his own political agenda ahead of doing what is right for the people of Kansas. Roberts also faces a Republican primary challenge from Johnson County Tea-Party conservative Milton Wolf, who is a cousin of President Obama.
