EMPORIA — Even though it’s closed for the winter, tours can be scheduled for the Red Rocks Sstate Historic Site in Emporia while it is closed. Tours are available Thursday through Saturday. Minimum fee is $50 for up to 10 participants. The fee for each additional participant is $5. Tours must be scheduled at least one week in advance by calling 620-342-2800 or e-mailing [email protected]. Red Rocks is the former home of William Allen White, the Pulitzer Prize-winning publisher of the Emporia Gazette and political adviser.
