BURLINGTON–The Wolf Creek Nuclear Plant was the site of an exercise this week to test how various agencies deal with emergencies. The final results won’t be known for several months, but officials say everything seemed to go well. John Broschak, Vice President of Engineering for the plant, says the plant has been shut down a couple of times this year when problems developed with some cooling systems. He says the plant never operates unless complete safety is assured.
