POMONA LAKE – K-268 Highway near Pomona Lake reopened Friday morning and area businesses are in celebration mode. K-DOT closed a stretch of K-268 on August 5 for bridge repair work, and motorists had to either take a 24 mile detour or take a county road to by-pass the repair work. Marcia potter, the owner of Green Acres Pizza and Subs estimates her daily business was cut in half during the three month project. Potter says she believes the project was too lengthy, but she wanted to send special thanks to her customers who continued to come in during the bridge work.
