OTTAWA–Although the discovery a few weeks ago that the roof at Garfield Elementary School was not installed properly, students and their parents and teachers should feel a little better. During the Ottawa School Board meeting, Doctor Jeanne Stroh announced that a preliminary engineering study shows the roof is safe and is in no danger of collapse.
