GARNETT–Police are looking for a white man following an attempted abduction. Police say on Tuesday, around 9:30 in the evening, an employee of the Casey General Store at 219 W. Park Road was assaulted. The woman in her early 20’s had gone outside to smoke a cigarette and went to her vehicle for a lighter. The victim said as she got to the driver side of the vehicle, she saw a man crouched down by the front tire. She turned around to get away and was grabbed by the suspect. The victim said she struck the man and got away. The suspect is described as a white male, about 6 feet 3 inches tall, 170 pounds, and thin build. He was wearing a dark colored hoodie jacket, dark colored beanie cap and a red towel like rag across his mouth and nose.
