OTTAWA–If your child has had problems with head lice, here’s some information for you. The Ottawa School Board is considering a policy that would send children home who have experienced multiple cases of head lice. The policy reads “students that have had multiple cases may be sent home until there are no nits remaining within 1/2 ” of the scalp” as determined by the school nurse. The policy will be up for further discussion at future board meetings.
