WICHITA — A federal grand jury has indicted a Wichita airport worker with trying to explode a car bomb at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport. Terry Loewen, 58, has been charged with one count of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction, one count of attempting to damage property by means of an explosive and one count of attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said. Loewen was arrested a week-and-a-half ago at the Wichita airport, and is accused of trying to detonate a car bomb in support of Al-Qaeda.
