LAWRENCE — A livestock judging expo for beginners will begin Saturday morning at 9:30 at the Douglas County fairgrounds in Lawrence. Registration is at 9. The expo is open to all 4-H and FFA members, Miami County Extension agricultural and natural resources Cody Sloan said. The expo, which will demonstrate how to judge cattle, hogs and sheep, is co-sponsored by the Douglas and Miami County Extension offices. “The emphasis of this expo is on learning, not competition,” Sloan said. On-line registration is due by today. A registration fee of $5 per person is due at the door on Saturday.
