OTTAWA–Several weeks ago, Franklin County was critically short of blood donations…but not anymore. During the Ottawa City Commission Study Session, Commissioner Linda Reed, who works at Ransom Memorial Hospital, noted that the hospital got 51 usable units of blood after appealing to the public. She compared that with the normal goal of getting 20 units in a normal blood drive.
