OTTAWA — The Kansas Department of Transportation said a contractor will begin a repair project that will close the Eisenhower Road bridge over I-35 at Ottawa on Monday. King Construction Company, Hesston, will repair the bridge and apply a new overlay on the bridge. Weather permitting, the bridge will reopen in early August. KDOT said that although the I-35 ramps at the Eisenhower interchange will remain open, Eisenhower Rroad traffic will be detoured onto local roads. North- and south-bound I-35 traffic will be advised to use the U.S. 59 interchange.
