WORDEN — A 29-year-old Topeka woman was taken to Stormont Vail Medical Center in Topeka after a Vassar man drove off U.S. 56 near Worden early Sunday morning. Matthew Zajic, 31, was driving east in the 900 block of U.S. 56 when his car went off the north side of the highway and into the ditch, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. His car rolled over, throwing out his passenger, Amanda Goodnow. He may have received possible injuries but wasn’t taken to the hospital. The highway patrol said neither was wearing seat belts.
