LOUISBURG — A 6-year-old boy was killed Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in rural Miami County at 335th Street and Rockville Road south of Louisburg. Stacy Adams, 45, Louisburg, was driving west on 335th Street when she entered at the intersection at Rockville Road, where she was hit by a north-bound car driven by 19-year-old Jacob Masterson, 19, Paola, Miami County Undersheriff Wayne Minckley said. Adams’ six-year-old grandson was killed, Minckley said. His name has not been released. Adams was flown by helicopter to a Kansas City hospital. Minckley said she was in critical condition. The boy’s eight-year-old brother was also injured and taken to a Kansas City hospital. He was in stable condition. Masterson received minor injuries but was also taken to a Kansas City hospital. The rural intersection is uncontrolled and has no traffic signs, Minckley said. Seat belts and child safety harnesses were in use, he said.
