OTTAWA — Rural firefighters had to deal with three fires through the weekend. A 62-year-old Wellsville woman reported a fire in a tack room on her property in the 4300 block of Vermont Terrace south of Wellsville early Sunday morning. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said the cause of the fire nor the damage estimate were immediately known. A 33-year-old Ottawa man reported that his car caught fire in his home’s garage along Southwest Fairview Drive southwest of Ottawa Saturday afternoon. There was minor damage to the garage wall and smoke throughout the house. A barn in the 2100 block of Kingman Terrace southwest of Ottawa was destroyed Thursday. When they arrived, firefighters decided the fire was so far advanced that they let it burn. The value of the barn and its contents weren’t immediately known.
