KANSAS CITY — Perhaps there’s such a thing as working too hard. A Kansas City, Kan., woman working as a personal care attendant has been indicted on federal charges that she submitted $587,000 in fraudulent bills to Medicaid. Doris Betts, 54, was charged with six counts of health care fraud. U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said the indictment charges that Betts claimed she was with two or more different clients at the same time and claimed she worked more than 750 work days of more than 24 hours, including a 40-hour day.
