OTTAWA — Dustin Floyd, Sr., 25, Ottawa was booked into the Franklin County jail Monday afternoon for driving while suspended and for trying to elude law officers. Franklin County Sheriff Jeff Richards said a state trooper gave chase to Floyd after he apparently went at a high rate of speed through a work zone on K-68 near the Wal-Mart distribution center. Several officers joined the pursuit because of a fear that Floyd was armed, Richards said. Floyd was booked into the jail two weeks ago by Ottawa police for disorderly conduct and illegally possessing a firearm, he said. He was free from jail on bond when he was pulled over, Richards said.
