OTTAWA – A highway construction worker remains at KU Med Center for injuries suffered when was struck by a pickup truck. 62-year-old William Van Dorn of Overbrook was hit following a separate traffic mishap that occurred on K-68 east of Ottawa on Thursday morning. The highway was closed after a semi-truck loaded with asphalt rolled over and ended up in a ditch. Van Dorn was hit about 20 minutes later and was flown by helicopter to the hospital.
