OTTAWA — “July first can’t come soon enough!” Those are the words of Matt Hine, who was named this week to be the next CEO of Ransom Memorial Hospital. July first is the day that Hine will officially take the reins from former CEO Larry Felix, who retired earlier this year. Hine is currently the CEO at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned, KS, where he oversaw the construction o f a replacement hospital, and recruited a good number of physicians. Hine also says he is impressed with the Ottawa community as he met a wide variety of Ottawans throughout the interview process.
