OTTAWA — The annual Memorial Day service will be this morning at 10 at the Franklin County Veterans Memorial at the courthouse. Franklin County Historical Society director Deborah Barker will be the guest speaker. Her speech will be “Remembrance of War in Franklin County.” As a Blue Star Museum, the Old Depot Museum will offer free admission to active military personnel and their families beginning today and through this summer until Labor Day. As in recent years, the three main Ottawa veterans groups, American Legion Post 60, VFW Memorial Post 5901 and Vietnam Veterans of America chapter 912; will jointly hold the annual service. The public is welcome to join.
