WASHINGTON – Local veterans’ activist Sherry Wright-Anderson, Ottawa, will join President Obama in laying the wreath on the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery today. Wright-Anderson, presently a regional director for the Vietnam Veterans of America group, said it’s a big honor for her. In addition to laying the wreath, she’ll be involved in other Memorial Day-related events at the Vietnam Memorial. Shortly after dawn this morning, President Obama returned to Washington after a four-hour surprise visit to the troops in Afghanistan.
