HILLSDALE LAKE — A man who drowned in Hillsdale Lake this weekend has been identified as Mark Selbee, 45, Leawood. Friends told Kansas City television stations that Selbee was an international kickboxing champion and ran a small business. Authorities said they don’t know why or how he drowned. A boater found two of Selbee’s distraught children alone in a boat on the lake Saturday afternoon. They told the boater that their father went into the water and never surfaced. Searchers spent 27 hours and used sonar to locate Selbee’s body.
