KANSAS CITY — A 39-year-old Quenemo man pleaded guilty Monday in U.S. District Court to one count of bank robbery today in connection with the March 19 robbery of the Goppert State Service Bank in Pomona. Robert mMartin admitted he took part in the robbery, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said. Martin said he drove Caleb Jeffcoat, 26, Quenemo, to the bank and gave him a mask and BB gun, which had been altered to look like a real gun. Martin said Jeffcoat entered the bank and robbed a teller, Grissom said. Investigators used video surveillance cameras from a neighboring Dollar General store and a gas station to identify the robber. Jeffcoat is awaiting sentencing. Christel Collins, 37, Quenemo , is awaiting trial. Sentencing for Martin will be later.
