OTTAWA — An Ottawa man charged with killing another Ottawa man in a traffic accident southeast of Centropolis last September has pleaded not guilty and has requested a jury trial. Eric Davis is charged with involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence in connection with the death of Fames Richey. The trial will be Sept. 8. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said Davis was driving along Iowa Road when he lost control of his SUV. It went off the road, rolled over and hit at least three trees. Richey was a passenger in the SUV and was killed. Davis and another passenger were injured.
