SPRING HILL — An Overland Park motorcyclist was taken to Overland Park Regional Hospital for the treatment of serious injuries following a crash Saturday afternoon on the Miami County side of Spring Hill. John Ostmeyer, 69, was riding his Harley Davidson east on 215th Street when he tried to cross U.S. 169, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Brian Carrol, 20, Spring Hill, was driving his pickup north on U.S. 169 when he struck the rear of Ostmeyer’s bike, the highway patrol said. Ostmeyer was thrown about 20 feet. Carrol and a passenger weren’t injured.
