LYNDON — The Osage County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a four-month-old baby boy Monday. Emergency crews were called to a Lyndon day care center, 1020 Monroe St. , for a report of a child that wasn’t breathing, Sheriff Laurie Dunn said. The child, Brody Johnston, Scranton, died in the ambulance while he was on the way to a Topeka hospital, Dunn said. The family requested that the boy be identified, Dunn said. The baby’s organs were donated and at least two other infants have been saved by the donations, she said. The cause of death hasn’t been determined. Dunn said the Osage County Health Department closed the day care for at least two days after the boy’s death.
