LYNDON — Osage County emergency crews and state troopers were working a head-on crash along U.S. 75 at the K-268 junction this morning. According to initial reports, the accident is a fatality accident. One person had to be cut out of a vehicle. Osage County authorities requested help from Franklin County emergency crews. A helicopter was called to the scene. The highway was closed at the accident scene this morning. Traffic was being detoured onto California Road to the east. The highway was reopened shortly before noon but a state accident reconstruction team continues to investigate at the scene, the Kansas Dept. of Transportation said.
