EDGERTON — A 26-year-old Ottawa man was injured when he struck a paving machine along I-35 in Johnson County Friday morning. Michael Neighbors was driving north on I-35 at about Homestead Road when he swerved inside the construction cones and struck the paving machine, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Neighbors was taken to Overland Park Regional Hospital. The highway patrol said he was wearing a seat belt.
