OTTAWA–The proposed renewal of the half cent sales tax for Ottawa and a possible additional half cent for economic development seems to be running into slight delays. Jeff Seymour of the Franklin County Development Council notified the City Commission that the cost of taking a poll on the issue is going to be a little more costly than expected. City Manager Richard Nienstedt also cautioned the Commission that time is getting short if the issue is to be put to the voters on a timely basis.
