APPANOOSE — Vandals damaged Appanoose Elementary School sometime before Monday morning. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department said several windows were broken. Landscaping done by 4-H students was also damaged. The damage was estimated at more than $1,000. There was no school Monday because of teachers in-service. In addition, windows in the back of the old school, which is now the Appanoose Historical Museum, were also broken.
