OTTAWA — The four daughters of Ken and Shelly Frank, Ottawa, have performed and recorded their own au capella parody of pop singer Lourdes’ hit song “Royals” and put it on YouTube, where it’s gone viral. Lourdes said her song was inspired in part by the baseball Royals. Daughter Lindsey Frank said their takeoff of Lourdes’ song was inspired entirely by the baseball Royals, and their World Series appearance against the San Franciso Giants, beginning tonight. Father Ken Frank is a serious Royals fan and helped write the lyrics of the takeoff, she said.
