OTTAWA–If you ever have the misfortune of your cat or dog biting someone, the animal is almost always isolated for several days to see if they have rabies.  Under a new policy, if the pet bites a family member, you may be allowed to quarantine the animal at home subject to inspection by health officials.  The new policy is expected to be approved at the regular City Commission Wednesday night.
