The snow could begin to fall at around 7:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and conclude at around 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. that afternoon. That’s according to the National Weather Service office in Topeka, which has issued a winter weather advisory for the entire KOFO listening area from 4:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. NWS meteorologist Chad Omitt tells KOFO News that the snow is not expected to be heavy and wet, and only a small amount will fall, it is the first snow storm of the season. Because of that, NWS officials are reminding motorist that plan to be out on Saturday to slow down when conditions warrant. Meanwhile, Miami and Linn Counties will be under a winter weather advisory from 6:00 p.m. until midnight on Saturday night.
