PAOLA — A Spring Hill man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of his roommate Saturday. Mark Taylor, 52, is being held in the Miami County jail on $1 million bond. Taylor is accused of shooting Larry Rangel, 56, at their home in the 21000 block of West 220th Street near Spring Hill. The Miami County Sheriff’s office said deputies had been called to the home for past disturbances. On Saturday afternoon, deputies were approached by another man in the sheriff’s department parking lot. He told them his friend was sitting in his car and had shot someone else. The sheriff’s office found Taylor sitting the car and found a hand gun.
