GARNETT – A 67-year-old rural Garnett man was killed in a house northwest of Garnett Wednesday morning. Firefighters found David Bryan dead in his home at 22030 NW 2150 Rd., Anderson County fire chief J.D. Mersman said. When they arrived, firefighters saw fire and smoke visible from nearly all of the windows and doors of the home, he said. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Department and the state fire marshal are investigating the fire but at this time, it doesn’t appear foul play was involved, he said. Firefighters from Garnett, Greeley, Richmond, Welda, Westphalia, Colony and Harris were dispatched to the fire.
