OTTAWA — A 31-year-old Kansas City man was taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa late Monday night after his truck was hit by a car west of Ottawa, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department said in a corrected news release. Mark Landie, Kansas City, Mo., was driving east in the 1400 block of K-68 when he hit a truck, driven by Marvin Olson, 67, Garnett, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department said. Olson had stopped at the railroad tracks but Landie unsuccessfully tried to avoid hitting him, the sheriff’s department said.
