OSAWATOMIE — A candidates’ forum for Osawatomie spring elections will be tonight at 6 in the Osawatomie High School auditorium. There are two contested races, plus a question on setting up a recreation commission covering the Osawatomie school district. Candidates for the Ward 1, city council seat, are Matt Fields, Ted Hunter and Rick McKinney. Candidates for the at-large Position 7 Osawatomie school board seat are Richard Fisher, Jr.; and Kristal Powell. There will also be representatives from the school district and the city to explain and answer questions about the proposed recreation commission.
