OLATHE — Because of wet weather, the schedule for the I-35 pavement reconstruction project has been pushed back. Below are the significant changes in the project work and related closures, according to the Kansas Dept. of Transportation: Sometime the weekend of April 4 and 5, weather permitting, the northbound I-35 lanes will be shifted. The following week, median crossover will be built at each end of the work, weather permitting. Â Sometime the weekend of April 11 and 12, weather permitting, the Santa Fe Street-35th Street to south-bound I-35 entrance ramp and the south-bound I-35 to Old Highway 56 exit ramp will be closed to all traffic. South-bound I-35 lanes will be shifted to the north-bound side. All I-35 traffic will be carried on the existing north-bound lanes separated by concrete barriers while the sout-hbound lanes are reconstructed. Marked detours will be provided for the ramp closures.
