RANTOUL — Kenneth Sloan Jr., 47, Paola, reported to the Franklin County Sheriff’s office that he was driving his truck south in the 3000 block of Virginia Road north of Rantoul late Tuesday night. He said he was going around a curve when he saw a vehicle traveling north in the road and on his side of the road. Sloan told a deputy he went off the road and struck a tree. He wasn’t injured. It’s the second time in two months that a driver reported he was forced off the road by another driver in an isolated part of southeastern Franklin County.
