OTTAWA — Two Ottawa High School graduates have joined the city of Ottawa staff as summer interns. University of Dallas senior and business major Jaime Birzer is working in the city’s finance department. University of Central Missouri junior and computer information systems major Hayden Soph is in the city’s information technology department. Birzer is working on a variety of assignments, including digitizing historical information for utility billing and researching crowd-funding websites to use for additional improvements to the city’s parks. Soph is working on helpdesk issues, organization of inventory records and preparing new computers for deployment and old computers for disposal.
